Fire Risk Assessment > May 2008
1) Overall risk level - Low

2) Hazards:

  • Smoking - this is a non-smoking premises.
  • Waste - all rubbish bins are emptied daily.
  • Naked flame - cooker only.
  • Cooker in good order, only used by proprietors.
  • Heaters - gas central heating - regularly serviced boiler in its own cupboard, away from guest area.
  • Electric heaters - used only by proprietors.
  • Electrical appliances - low wattage kettle, radio alarm, TV & bedside lamps
  • They are inspected regularly and well maintained.
  • Electrical extensions - used only for radio alarms and bedside lamps, and are out of reach of guests.
  • Mains cable - is in good order with trip type fuses.
  • Hazardous material - paint etc is stored out side of the property.

3) People at risk: We do not take children under 6 years.

4) Upholstery - Is in good order and low risk.

5) Fire precautions - Smoke alarms have recently been installed (with 10 year battery life) by a professional.

6) Escape route - There is one main stair case which exits through the front door.

7) Review - In 12 months or in the event of change in situation.
