Cherrypickers, Number 6 Hartington Road is a full of character, charming late Victorian house in a quiet, almost secretive, little cul-de-sac. Close to the inner ring road, easy to find, yet peaceful. We are just a 15 minute stroll from the city centre with its many attractions, and excellent twice weekly bustling market. Buses run every 15 minutes from the end of the road. For the more energetic there are riverside walks, for example to Old Sarum. The river is only 5 minutes walk away from the house. Of course there is the delightful walk over Town Path to the Old Mill at Harnham, through the water meadows, depicted in the famous Constable painting of the Cathedral. |
Your RoomYour double room is light, bright, airy, comfortable and serviced daily. A full courtesy tray of tea and coffee etc. is provided, as is a hair dryer, digital colour TV and your own key for access at all times. Robes and slippers for the few steps to your private spacious bathroom, with a very effective shower over the bath. An iron is available on request. We have off road parking. Our prices range from £30 to £40 per person per night or £50 to £60 single occupancy. This includes a full English breakfast, see menu. Besides the world famous Cathedral, Salisbury has many places and buildings of interest. Its old buildings and streets are worth taking time to wander along, as is the Cathedral Close with its historic buildings and museums. We are not short of restaurants, pubs and clubs; these are many and varied. A short drive away Salisbury Plain offers miles of delightful and fascinating landscape, including Stonehenge, Avebury, Silbury Hill, and more, see links. We offer a booking service for restaurants and taxis, and a left luggage service.
